Kansas Board of Nursing Recognized in the 2026 StateScoop 50 Awards

System Automation is proud to announce that the Kansas Board of Nursing‘s modernization initiative, powered by Evoke, has been recognized as a winner in the 2026 StateScoop 50 Awards, earning the State IT Innovation of the Year award.

The State IT Innovation of the Year category honors transformative technology projects that embrace innovation, foster collaboration, and deliver meaningful results for state agencies and the communities they serve.

The award-winning project, “Kansas Board of Nursing Modernizes Investigative and Disciplinary Operations with Evoke,” transformed critical regulatory processes. The Board implemented Evoke, System Automation’s regulatory management platform, to support the initiative. This streamlined investigative and disciplinary operations, improved efficiency, and strengthened the agency’s ability to protect the public through modern digital workflows.

As a result, staff gained greater visibility into cases, reduced reliance on manual processes, and improved oversight across investigative and disciplinary activities.

Modernizing Investigative and Disciplinary Operations

“This project has strengthened our ability to manage investigative and disciplinary cases more efficiently while providing greater visibility into agency operations. We’re honored to see these efforts recognized,” said Adrian Guerrero, Director of Operations, Kansas Board of Nursing.

This recognition reflects the strong partnership between the Kansas Board of Nursing and the System Automation team, as well as a shared commitment to modernizing government operations and delivering measurable outcomes for public agencies.

“We’re proud to see the Kansas Board of Nursing recognized for its commitment to modernization and operational excellence. Their leadership and vision have resulted in a more efficient, accountable, and future-ready approach to case management,” said Charles Rubin, President of System Automation.

Today, the project serves as an example of how regulatory agencies can modernize complex operations while improving service, accountability, and transparency.

We are honored to celebrate this achievement with the Kansas Board of Nursing and congratulate everyone who contributed to the success of this project.
